IMPORTANT
For Chiefs of Staff. Para.(1) First elements of. ARMOUR force arrived yesterday and are disembarking now. They will
be used to clear up the new territories and to reinforce partics landed from ships and R.A.F. repetition R.A.F. personnel from SHIELD force in VICTORIA and KOWLOON until after new currency is well established whon it is hoped they will be able to take over some of the dutios now carried out by naval and R.A.F. porsonnel. It will howovor bo nocossary to draw on the latter to a considerable extent until a police force is established or further elomonts of 36th Division arrivo.
Para. (2). Construction engineers of the R.A.F. are the main backbone of the essential services of the colony such as supply of electric power water and tolophones but every effort is being mado to pross on with the construction of the now airfield.
